- Quests. The fourteen villagers have things to ask of you, with over a hundred quests that walk you through the game. A main story takes you from the village to the goblin chief's hall. A quest book keeps track of everything.
- Mana and techniques. Every combat style gets two special attacks that fire on their own when they're ready.
- Lighting. Caves and night maps are darker now. Your characters, campfires, lamps and spells light up the area around them.
- Miner's Lantern. Dusty teaches you how to make one. Once it's made, every character on your account sees further in the dark.
- A small puzzle hidden in the Hollow Grove, with a reward for whoever figures it out.
